The Beaufort County Relay for Life will be different this year to accommodate the COVID-19 guidelines currently in place.
The annual event was held virtually last year due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
This year, the event will be held on the campus of Beaufort County Community College on April 30 at 7 p.m. The event will be held as a drive through event, with all activities being viewed and participated in from within a vehicle.
Survivors are encouraged to decorate their car for the event and bring their family along for the ride during the cancer survivor car parade of hope, which will serve as the opening ceremony for the annual event. There will be prizes available to those with the best decorated car.
In addition to the drive through parade, there will also be music and a luminary ceremony to honor all those afflicted with cancer.
To register for the event as a survivor or to donate, visit the group’s Facebook page or their website at www.relayforlife.org/beaufortnc.
