Mrs. Mary “Linda” Price Woolard, age 73, a resident of Washington died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Woolard was born in Martin County on October 22, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Henry Charles Price and Hilda Rosemond Jones Price. Mrs. Woolard graduated from Jamesville High School. She was a homemaker and caregiver but loved holding her grand babies most of all.
Mrs. Woolard was loyal to her family and to those for whom she cared. She was kind, caring and compassionate with a full and forgiving heart. She was always giving and thinking of others, being completely selfless, even as her health declined.
As a child, she was baptized at Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Woolard recently reaffirmed her faith in Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Woolard was married to Jerry Eugene Woolard, who preceded her in death, November 11, 1996.
Mrs. Woolard is survived by two daughters, Teresa W. Taylor and husband, Scottie of Pinetown, Barbara W. Sullivan of Washington; one son, Josh Woolard of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; brother, Henry Clyde Price, and the love of her later life, Hesiquio Wences.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Woolard was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Eugene “Buster” Woolard, Jr.; three sisters, Lillie Mae Steeley, Emma Price Sanders, Hilda Price Perez; and two brothers, James Harold Price and Charles Hendricks Price.
