In preparation for Tropical Storm Elsa’s arrival, Beaufort County Schools has canceled summer school classes scheduled for Thursday. The make-up date is Friday, July 16.

There will be no meal service Thursday. Instead, the school system will be distributing meal packages on Wednesday; those packages will have enough food to last from Thursday through the weekend. Meals can be picked up Wednesday at the following sites: Fresh Anointing Worship Center in Aurora; Elizabeth Chapel in Blounts Creek; Harris Acres Mobile Home Park; Elks Mobile Home Park; The Market in Belhaven; Beebe Chapel; The Salavation Army; Thomas Lane; 127 Thomas Lane in Washington; and River Road Estates.
