The Historic Bath High School Preservation is operating a community farmers’ market through the end of August to raise money for the preservation of the old high school facility. 

“Since Bath does not have a store that sells fresh produce, the farmers’ market is intended to offer the people of the extended Bath community a handy place to do their shopping,” according to a press release from the Bath High School Preservation organization. 

The market includes fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, canned goods, yard sale items and fresh cut flowers. Additional items for sale include homemade pies, cheese biscuits, sausage balls, herbs and flowers, fresh eggs and handcrafted decor. 

The farmers’ market is held every Saturday through July and ends on August 28. On the last Saturday in July, July 31, the market will celebrate Christmas in July and will offer specialty food, door prizes, Christmas decorations and other surprises. 

“Bath High School Preservation appreciates the support of the people who participate in our fundraising activities. Our mission is to restore and rehabilitate the old Bath High School buildings and return this historic building to its place of service and honor in the greater Bath community,” the press release read.
