The first phase of the city’s boardwalk project has been completed. Construction on phase one began in early April, with plans to improve and replace the current construction while utilizing the existing footprint. The east end of the boardwalk, which is located closest to the previous site of Builders FirstSource building and the future Moss East development, has been completely redone and features a concrete walkway with wooden supports that has been widened 10 inches compared to the previous structure. Phase two will cover the remaining half of the boardwalk and is expected to be completed next year.
