Jamesville, NC – James “Dennis” Holliday, 61 of NC Hwy 171, died Wednesday, November 23, 2021, at his home.
James was born on September 21, 1960, in Pitt County to Glynn Stevenson Holliday and the late James Elbert Holliday. He worked as a millwright with Weyerhaeuser in Ayden. He attended church at the Shadow of the Cross in Jamesville. James liked anything mechanical and liked to figure out how it worked. He loved any kind of music and reading Webster.
Survivors include his mother, Glynn Stevenson Holliday of Washington; his life partner of 33 years, Jackie Nobles of the home; stepson, Staton E, Nobles of Belmont; stepdaughter, Shannon Nobles Mohare of Charlotte; sisters, Angela Clark (Bobby) of Washington, Hope Harten (Bob) of Raleigh and Sharon Arnold (Bill) of Pea Ridge; brother-in-law, Bill Paul of Pocosin, Va.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 2:30 PM at Shadow of the Cross Church in Jamesville with Rev. Johnny Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the church and other times at the home.
