Paul Huggins was recently named the 2022 NC Regional Technology Director of the year for the Northeast Region.  Huggins is the Director of Digital Media and Innovative Technology for Beaufort County Schools.  He is responsible for supporting the district on digital platforms such as supervising the district’s websites and social media channels, graphic design, federal compliance, digital citizenship, and audio/video productions, as well as serving as a strategist for district external communications.

Huggins was selected by his peers in the region for making a significant impact in transforming student learning through the integration of technology.  The NC State Technology Director of the Year will be announced at the NCTIES conference on March 2, 2022.  Mr. Huggins is the NE Region Nominee.

“I am shocked and honored to be the NC Northeast Region nominee for the State Technology Director,” Huggins said.

“We are incredibly proud to have Mr. Huggins part of our Beaufort County Schools team,” said BCS Superintendent Matthew Cheeseman. “He is very deserving of this award and nomination.”
