Major Reading Blount Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recognized teachers and assistants at three Beaufort County Schools during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2-6. Teachers and assistants at Eastern Elementary, John Cotton Tayloe Elementary and John Small Elementary School were presented with a gift of microwave popcorn and a note of thanks for their dedication to educating the children in their classrooms. Chapter member, Laura Smithwick, made the deliveries. Mrs. Smithwick is pictured with staff members of Eastern Elementary and John Small Elementary School.
