Casey Schulte was named Teacher of the Year for Beaufort County Schools (BCS) on Thursday, August 18. Schulte is a seventh and eighth grade social studies teacher at Bath Elementary in Bath. 

 

Schulte will be starting her second year at Bath Elementary on Monday, Aug. 29. She has taught for ten years as a high school science teacher at schools in Oxford and Wake Forest North Carolina. “She enjoys providing hands-on learning experiences for her students, classroom transformations, and providing opportunities to take ownership of their own education,” per Beaufort County Schools. 

 

She has earned two Bachelor’s degrees and one Master’s degree from North Carolina State University, according to Beaufort County Schools. She is a native of Bath and an alumna of Bath Elementary.
