The Northside golf team returned from spring break with a victory in the Coastal Plains Conference event Monday at the Minnesott Beach Golf & Country Club in Pamlico County.

The Panthers shot a four-person team score of 175 to finish three strokes ahead of county rival Southside.

Seahawk senior Gabe Matthews won medalist honors for the lowest individual score with a one under par 35 over nine holes.

Lejeune was third at 188 followed by East Carteret (195) and Pamlico County (203).

Northside’s Gavin Sawyer finished second behind Matthews with a 39.

David Wallace (42), Wyatt Berry (46) and Bryce Evans (48) completed the Panthers scoring.

Caleb Dixon (46), Harrison Phelps (52) and Latham Dixon (55) rounded out Southside’s scoring.
