Who’s going to be the Best of the Pamlico this year?
After thousands of nominations in over 120 categories (with over a 50% increase in reader participation compared to last year), the finalists are in for Best of the Pamlico 2023, presented by Slade Landscaping, 252 Digital Services and the Washington Daily News. The annual Best of the Pamlico awards give our readers a chance to recognize and celebrate the best that our community has to offer.
Categories ranging from “Best High School Teacher” to “Best Fried Chicken” speak to the wide variety of entrants on this year’s ballot. A guide to the complete lists of finalists are published here in this edition. “It’s always an exciting time,” said Washington Daily News Marketing Director David Singleton. “Our local business community has a lot to be proud of.”
To cast your vote, visit TheWashingtonDailyNews.com and click on the “Contests” tab in the menu bar to find the ballots, which are grouped into seven categories. Within each individual ballot there are up to five finalists, from which you can vote for your favorite business or professional in our community. You are allowed one vote per computer, per day from now until Aug. 27 when the polls close. “Community involvement, from our readers to the business owners and just the whole region has been outstanding” Singleton said.
Once all votes are tallied, we will announce this year’s winners in September — with each winning entrant being included in our Best of the Pamlico Special Winner’s Edition on Sept. 30. In addition, the winners will be awarded with a Best of the Pamlico 2023 official certificate to celebrate their accomplishments and display in their place of business.
Voting is live today at TheWashingtonDailyNews.com and will continue through Aug. 27 at 11:59 p.m.
