The Panthers open the season at home with Camden County. Head coach Keith Boyd says the keys for the season are developing the younger players and avoiding injuries.

“We have a tough schedule,” Boyd said. “The main focus is to be in all of them. We are going to take things one game at a time and try to compete in each one.”

Northside is led by senior quarterback Hunter Chrismon. Boyd said the running backs and secondary are young and should get better as they keep getting experience throughout the year.

“We are going to lean on both our offensive and defensive line. They have experience and can make big plays this season. They are going to be key for keeping us in games this season,” Boyd said.

Boyd is optimistic for the season. He said he wants his team to continue to develop and get better with each game. “We want the young guys getting experience,” Boyd said. “The learning curve will catch up to them and if they keep learning from the seniors and other veterans, they will keep getting better. We want the chemistry to continue to develop and everyone to come together as a team. This will help us be competitive in all our games.”
