Mr. Robert Franklin “Bob” Noble, age 79, a resident of Belhaven, passed away August 15, 2023, at his home.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Belhaven First Assembly of God Church in Belhaven, conducted by Pastor Larry Belch.

Bob was born on September 23, 1943 and was a proud, lifelong citizen of Belhaven, NC. He was the son of the late Franklin Earl Noble and Edith Marie Mercer Noble. Bob served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Sea Safari Ltd., a seafood processing plant in Belhaven where he served as Vice President. He was a member of the Belhaven Rotary Club, a volunteer with the Belhaven Fire Department, and founding and later honorary member of the Beech Ridge Hunting Club. He especially appreciated the camaraderie with friends that the hunting club provided. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and connected with God through nature. Bob always looked forward to his annual hunting trip out West, a tradition he faithfully kept every year since 1985.

In August of 1973, Bob married the love of his life, Darlene Keyzer Noble. They were husband and wife for over twenty-five years, until her death in 1998. Bob never remarried as he said, “I already married perfection and you cannot top perfection.”

Bob is survived by his children; Denise Marie Noble of Roanoke, VA, Dana Michelle Noble of Bath, NC, Derek Mercer Noble and wife Amber of Belhaven, NC, Darin Michael Noble and wife Trinity of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren, Skylar Noble Rogers, Haven Simone Rogers, Isabella Darlene “Bell” Noble, Cora Blaine Noble, Alaina Gayle Bowen, Dominick Aguilar Ramos; and treasured members of the Keyzer family.

In addition to his parents and his beloved Darlene, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter Dia Dare Noble, sister Sandra Upton Greene, and brother Jack Hayes Noble.
