Wade Lee Hubers, 75, of Belhaven, died, on Monday, September 18, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Wade was born in Plymouth County, Iowa on February 20, 1948, to the late Albert J. and Elsie Wassink Hubers. He was married to the former Trudy Respess who survives.
He was a member of Terra Ceia Church of Christ where in years past he served as a Deacon and chairman of the church board
He was a member of the Blackland Farm Managers Association and was instrumental in the development of many projects in Hyde County including the Cotton Gin, Rose Acres Farm, and the Soybean Crusher.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023, at Terra Ceia Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Larry Hudson will officiate. A burial will follow at Davis Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Daren Hubers (Beth) of Pantego, Kerry Hubers of Bowie, MD and Michael Cutler (Mary Ann) of Pantego; two daughters, Stacie Hubers of Belhaven and Heather Garrish (Ron) of Pantego; eight grandchildren, Sydney Latham (Colby), Kameron Hubers, Benjamin Hubers, Brandi Garrish, Riley Cutler, Abbey Cutler, Jordan Conigliaro and Austin Garrish; one great-grandchild, Rhett Latham; two brothers, Don Hubers (Cindy) of Pantego, Roy Hubers (Kathleen) of Pantego; two sisters, Kathleen Van Dorp (Al) of Jamestown, NC, Florence Plender (Norm) of Orange City, Iowa; a sister in law, Barbara Hubers of Washington; his mother in law, Ms. Elizabeth Respess of Pantego and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Dale Hubers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Terra Ceia Christian Reformed Church.
