Mrs. Christine Ballard Glisson, 77, of Williamston, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Rod Dorn officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Glisson was born in Pitt County on Oct. 15, 1930. She was the daughter of Roy Edgar Ballard and Velma Keel. She was retired from her job as a payroll clerk for Halmark. On Nov. 14, 1949, she married Phil Glisson, who survives. She was a member of the Lions Auxiliary and the Lady Gideons. She was a member of Vernon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Glisson of Lenexa, Kan., and Clay Glisson of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Kimberly G. Peters of Greenville; two sisters, Doris Edmondson of Greenville and Jeanette Jones of Florida; one brother, Joseph Ballard of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home.
