Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If there is ever a weekend to visit Beaufort County, it’s this one. There are several holiday events happening that will put you in the Christmas spirit.

In Bath, there will be a holiday flotilla at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. John O’Neill, the “Commodore” for the flotilla said there will be at least ten decorated boats this year circling Bath Creek. The flotilla can be viewed from the shoreline or at Bonner’s Point on Front Street.

The following day, the 38th annual Town of Bath Christmas parade will be held at 3 p.m. in downtown Bath.

In Belhaven, the annual Christmas parade will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. After the parade, the Christmas Candlelight Homes Tour will take place at 6 p.m. Tickets are required, and are $20 each. They can be purchased at the Belhaven Chamber of Commerce (265 E Water Street) or you can call or text 252-732-5190. The Chamber office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A reception will be held after the tour at the final home, River Forest Manor. The reception is for ticket holders only.

In Washington, the annual Homes Tour, now known as “Holiday Homecoming: Exploring Homes, Heritage and the Vibrant Local Business Scene” will begin on Friday, Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature eight homes. On Saturday, the tour will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature nine homes. Tickets are required. To visit homes on either Friday or Saturday costs $20. Tickets to tour homes and businesses on Friday and Saturday are $30.

Holiday Homecoming is an annual fundraiser that supports the Beaufort County Arts Council.

Printed tickets and a booklet will be available for pickup during open hours at the Turnage Theatre or Little Shoppes prior to Dec. 1. Tickets the day of the tours are available at the Turnage exclusively.

The annual Washington Christmas parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2 starting at 10 a.m. on Main Street.
