At 12:12 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Eli Antelmo Martinez was the first baby born at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville. His parents, Petra “Jasmin” Flores and Erick Martinez, live in Washington.

Eli weighs seven pounds and three ounces and is 20 inches, the hospital shared.

“ECU Health and Women’s Services at Maynard Children’s Hospital delivered more than 3,950 babies in 2023. We are delighted to welcome Eli, and wish his family all the best,” ECU Health said.
