Marabeth Butcher Ferrell, age 80, a resident of Washington, NC died Saturday January 20, 2024 at her home.

A memorial service with nursing honors will be held Thursday January 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by Pastor Joshua Yoder.

Mrs. Ferrell was born in Osceola County, Iowa on April 22, 1943 to the late Jasper Reynolds Butcher and the late Gertrude Hohensee Butcher. On January 3, 1966 she married James Reuben Ferrell who preceded her in death on June 8, 2010. She worked as a Registered Nurse with Beaufort County Hospital for 46 years until her retirement in 2015. Mrs. Ferrell enjoyed mowing her grass, working in her yard, and going to the beach, especially Ocracoke. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tabatha Ann Ferrell of Washington, Samantha James Ferrell Beecham and husband Nathan of Washington, two grandchildren, Logan Ferrell Reason, Rowan Fawn Reason, and a beloved friends Charlotte Burian.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday January 25, 2024 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
