Mildred Faye Dixon Roberson, age 91, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Cone Hospital after a sudden illness. Mildred was born on December 10, 1932, in Pitt County, NC, daughter of the late Lenior and Annie Dixon.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service with Interment following in Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.

A native of Pitt County, NC, Mildred lived in Greensboro, NC for 66 years. She kept children for over 50 years, kept foster children and ran “Nana’s Daycare”. She was a Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mildred was a founding member of Sheraton Park Freewill Baptist Church. She was a people person with quick wit and loved to sing and play guitar.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Roberson, and parents Lenior and Annie Dixon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Margie McGowan of Washington, NC, son Alton Roberson (Kathy), daughter Pat Belton and son Jerry Roberson. Mildred had five grandchildren: Keith Roberson (Tiffany), Kenny Roberson (Angie), Kirby Roberson (Crystal), Robyn Dragoo (Travis), Emilee Transou (Stamps) and thirteen great grandchildren.
