The TEACH home school girls basketball team went 25-3 this season, including victories over Jones HS, Ocracoke, Mattamuskeet and Pungo Christian Academy.

Jordan Wagaman is the only senior among a group that has been playing tougher since seventh grade according to coach Jared Mosely. “They are a very competitive group who come from different areas and backgrounds,” he said. “The parents have been great about coordinating travel to games and making sure we have what we need. They’ve been a great group to coach.”

The Trailblazers play their home games at Athletic Edge in Washington and rarely practice because of limited space availability.

Sophomore Kaylee Ange led the team in scoring at 17.6 points a game, while Bre Ange and Becca Sottile averaged 12.5.

“Our man-to-man defense has been very good all year and our press has helped create a lot of turnovers,” Mosely said. “We work hard when we practice and they are able to make adjustments during games. We’ve improved every year and I’m proud of their effort.”
