Mrs. Rosita “Zeet” Fonville Blackwell, 51, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in St. Reddick Missionary Baptist Church, Belhaven, with the Rev. John Walter White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Swan Quarter.
Mrs. Blackwell was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 16, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Lether Latham and Rosie Green Fonville. She was a graduate of the class of 1975 at John A. Wilkinson High School, Belhaven. On May 25, 2004, she married Clifton L. Blackwell, who survives. She was a front end manager with the Food Lion Corp. in Durham. She was a member of St. Reddick Missionary Baptist Church, Belhaven.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Charie Blackwell of Henderson; two stepsons, Nathan Blackwell of Winston-Salem and Nicholas Blackwell of Durham; four sisters, Luella Braddock of New York, N.Y., Leatha Windley and Larrine M. Mackey, both of Belhaven, and Onnie Spencer of Pantego; and four brothers, Carl E. Fonville of Queens, N.Y., Ronald C. Fonville and Curtis Fonville, both of Washington, and Roland Covil of Belhaven.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sisters, Leatha Windley, 705 Pamlico St., Belhaven and Onnie Spencer, 662 Swamp Road, Pantego.
