Seahawks, Panthers spilt on senior day

Northside won the boys meet, while Southside took the girls competition as the Seahawks recognized their seniors Thursday afternoon.
Jones HS and Bear Grass also competed.
Junior Andrew Harding led the Panthers boys with victories in the 400 meters (54.4), the 1600 (4:50) and the 3200 (9;53).
Northside’s Tate Gibbs won the shot put (39-01) and discus (12-5), while senior Tucker Proctor won the 800 meters (2:24), Faithful Fulcher captured the 200 (24.5) and Malachi Moore took the triple jump (37’)
Southside winners included senior Jacob Taylor in the 300 hurdles (46.60), freshman Keyshawn Rouse in the 110 hurdles (19.3) and Devonelle Brimmage in the long jump (20-0).
On the girls side, Southside had three double winners, while Northside had a pair.
Juniors Tamia McNeal won the 100 (17.7) and 300 hurdles (56.1), Khalia Moore won the shot put (27-1) and discus (66’1) and I’Kiriyah Minor captured the long jump (15’7) and the triple jump (33-4) for the Seahawks.
Southside’s Jayden Johnson won the 400 in 1:07.5
Junior Deja Waters won three events for Northside, the 100 (12.2), the 200 (27.8) and the high jump (4’3).
Senior Kiele Scott won the 800 (2:42) and 1600 (6:52).
