Even as they watched their children play in softball and baseball state championship games, Beaufort County parents couldn’t stop talking about a senior prank at Washington High School.

Late last week, a number of PamPack seniors took a senior prank too far – they damaged tables in the cafeteria, threw toilet paper on the floor, and poured oil in the hallways, a photograph circling social media shows.

Beaufort County Schools has yet to provide details of the prank. As of Friday, May, 31, they were able to confirm that an “incident” occurred at the school; however, “it is still being investigated.” That same day, Washington Police Chief Phil Rollinson said a report had not been filed with the Washington Police Department.

Washington Daily News followed up with the school system on Monday, but has yet to receive answers.

Over the weekend, a post on Facebook asking what happened at Washington High School received 790 comments. Residents shared their speculations as to what happened, how many seniors were involved and how much property damage was done. They also gave their opinions of how the participating seniors should be disciplined.
