Mrs. Sandra Lane Leggett Boyd, age 61, died Sunday June 23. 2024 at her home in Pinetown.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Five Points Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Hall officiating. Eric Barrett, Braxton Boyd, Austin Douglas, Mack Wallace, Wesley Wallace, and Stan Woolard will serve as Pallbearers. Employees of Foxfire Farms will serve as honorary Pallbearers: Noah Johnson, George Jeffers, Wendell Moore, and Jamie Boyd. A burial will follow the service at the Leggett Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 until 8:00 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. Family and friends are also welcome to visit other times at the home.
Sandra was born June 10, 1963 in Beaufort County to Barbara Anne Austin Leggett and the late James Bruce Leggett. She was a 1981 graduate of Bath High School and graduated in 1983 from Beaufort County Community College with a degree in secretarial science. She was the owner of Foxfire Feed LLC and office manager for Foxfire Farms Inc. She and her daughters raised show cattle and sold Umbarger Show Feeds for many years. She was a van driver and cooked hot lunch at Terra Ceia Christian School while her children attended. She was an active member of Five Points FWB Church. She held many roles there, such as nursery teacher, children’s church teacher, Vacation Bible School director, bulletin board, choir, and hospitality committee.
Sandra is survived by her husband Larry Gordon Boyd; her Mother, Barbara Anne Austin Leggett; Daughters Melinda Taylor Boyd (John David Baltzell) and Madison Lydia Boyd (Jacob Brannan McCall); and brother James “Jimmy” Bruce Leggett Jr.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice as well as the friends and neighbors for everything they have done over the course of Sandra’s illness.
