Eric Clay Harris, age 45 a resident of Washington, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at First Christian Church with Gillian Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Clay was born on March 1, 1979, in Fredericksburg, VA, to Hassell Junius Harris and Virginia Ruth Hudnell. He was a graduate of Northside High School and Beaufort Community College. Clay was a Technician at Hyster-Yale, and a member of First Christian Church. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Meeks Harris of the home, his children, Tyler Harris of Belhaven, Annie Harris of Washington and Eli Harris of Washington, his parents, Hassell Harris (Jackie) of Greenville and Ginger Windley (Ricky) of Belhaven, sisters, Kelly Hopkins (Josh) of Belhaven and Karen Tucker (Steven) of Robersonville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beaufort County Humane Society, P.O. Box 33, Washington, NC  27889.
