Driver charged in accident injuring moped driver

A man was transported to ECU Health Beaufort after the moped he was driving was struck from behind by a Mazda in Chocowinity.
Jermaine Moore, 45, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 17 on a moped when Latosha Satchell, 36, of Chocowinity hit Moore from behind while driving a 2005 Mazda passenger car, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Satchell’s car caught fire after the collision, Highway Patrol reported.
Satchell was charged with Failure to Reduce Speed.
