Norwood Eugene Dixon, age 86, a resident of Washington and Chocowinity, NC, died Monday, August 26, 2024, at Crystal Coast Hospice Center.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. “His presence we will miss, his memory we will treasure.”

Mr. Dixon was born on April 23, 1938, son of the late Helen Daniels Dixon and Norwood Gerome Dixon. On October 18, 1958, he was married to his high school sweetheart Gretcha Woolard Dixon, deceased.

Additionally surviving Norwood is Edna Hilton, love, friend, partner, and companion for the past 15 years. Mr. Dixon was an employee of National Spinning Mill of Washington. “In the hearts of those who loved him, he will always be there.”

Norwood is survived by his three children: Woody Dixon, Chris Dixon, and Lesleigh Dixon Manning; five grandchildren; Lacey Dixon, Tripp Dixon, and Caroline, Emily, and Hodges Manning. Additionally, two great grandchildren; Kenleigh and Xavier Dixon.
