Prostate cancer awareness subject of Lunch and Learn

(Washington, NC) – ECU Health Beaufort Hospital and the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center are offering a Provider Lunch and Learn with radiation oncologist, Dr. Sean Peach on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 12:00 Noon at Ignite Church Chocowinity located at 230 NC Hwy. 33 W., Chocowinity, NC.
Dr. M. Sean Peach is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in the use of radiation to treat cancer. He serves as the Director of Brachytherapy Services at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine.
Dr. Peach has extensive expertise in various radiation oncology techniques, including brachytherapy, which is a modern treatment for prostate cancer. His clinical interests and specialties include brain cancer, prostate cancer, gynecologic cancer, lung cancer, thoracic cancer, and genitourinary cancer. He is skilled in advanced treatment delivery methods such as IMRT/VMAT, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and Gamma Knife treatment planning.
Cancer continues to be a leading cause of death in Beaufort and Hyde and the second most common cause of cancer in American men. Dr. Peach will share his extensive knowledge in prevention, early detection and treatment of prostate cancer. There will be a time for questions of Dr. Peach.
