Residence: Washington
Highest level of education: Masters in Nursing, MSN
Occupation: Retired Nurse Practitioner
Political affiliation: Democrat
Personal statement:
I am running to protect Women’s Reproductive freedoms. We have a strong abortion bill in NC and making it even stricter will drive needed Doctors away. We want families to have a choice. I also want better access to birth control education and Birth control methods.
We are losing good teachers because the pay is so low. A 1% raise was voted against by my opponent. I want better funding for our public schools. Not all counties have private or charter schools. Environmental safety for our water and air is very important to me. Industry does not need to destroy fish spawning areas or put toxic chemicals in the waterways. Tourism and new businesses should be encouraged and supported. Internet for all areas is the goal as well.
