Personal statement: 

I became a District Court Judge because I believed that I could no longer sit on the sidelines and watch what was happening to my country. It needed good, common sense leaders to help keep it moving in the direction that our forefathers intended.  I also believed this work was too important to leave up to others, so I sought the appointment when Judge Michael Paul retired, and I plan to run for reelection as long as I am able to do so.
