WATN: Washington’s Terry Moore shines on the field and off for Duke against SMU

The camera certainly loves Terry Moore.

The Washington High School graduate has been featured several times by Duke Football on its social media channels as a way to promote its upcoming football games and other moments.

For example, to tease Duke’s game against SMU last Saturday, Moore could be seen on Facebook on and with a horse as a way to promote the Mustangs’ visit to Durham.

Moore finished with nine tackles in a losing effort as SMU won a wild 28-27 game in overtime with the Blue Devils. The loss put Duke at 6-2, 2-2 in the ACC heading into Saturday’s game at No. 5 Miami.

Reagan Stoop, Pungo Christian, Bridgewater volleyball

Bridgewater volleyball had another 2-1 week, beating Lebanon Valley and York, Pa., and losing to Christopher Newport.

Stoop had 41 kills, 28 digs and two block assists in the three games. She had 15 kills and 11 digs against Christopher Newport and 15 kills and 10 digs against Lebanon Valley.

Bam Adebayo, Northside, Miami Heat

Adebayo and the Heat did not fare well in their season opener against Orlando on Oct. 23. However, they bounced back and won games at Charlotte against Detroit.

Adebayo had nine points, seven at the free throw line, and five rebounds in a 116-97 loss to Orlando. At Charlotte, he had 12 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in a 114-106 win. On Monday against the Pistons, he had 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals in a 106-98 win.

Adebayo got to meet a group of P.S. Jones Middle School players last Saturday when they went to the Charlotte game.
