Washington grad Terry Moore racks up two more honors for Duke

DURHAM, N.C. — Add two more postseason honors for Washington High School graduate and Duke junior safety Terry Moore.
Moore was named Second Team All-America by Action Network, a sports news publication. He was also selected Third-Team All-ACC by CollegeFootballNetwork.com.
Moore, 6-1, 200-pound junior from Washington, had 70 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, six pass breakups and two caused fumbles. He was second for the Blue Devils in tackles in ACC games with 53. All of his interceptions came against ACC opponents.
According to Duke Sports Information, Moore owns Pro Football Focus’ No. 1 coverage grade in the ACC and is the organization’s No. 2 ranked defender in the ACC. He helped anchor a Duke defense that goes into the Gator Bowl against Ole Miss as the nation’s leader in fumbles recovered (14) and standing second nationally in tackles for loss per game (9.17), third in sacks per game (3.33) and sixth in total turnovers gained (26).
Duke reports Moore is the first Duke safety to receive All-America accolades since Jeremy Cash in 2015.
Moore was also chosen to the Second Team by the ACC and The Associated Press.
