BCSO, WPD apprehend fugitive in Washington

On Dec. 16, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Response Team along with officers from the Washington Police Department joined forces to arrest a subject wanted in Beaufort and Pitt County for ten outstanding warrants that included multiple felony charges.

Kyreem Armon Gray, 27, of Washington (Pitt County) was taken into custody from a vehicle parked outside a residence on Bridge Street in Washington. Gray was on the run after his involvement in multiple traffic related incidents in Pitt County and Beaufort County.  While taking Gray into custody, a firearm and other evidence were located.

As a result, Gray was charged with the following additional offenses:
-Felony Possession of Firearm by a Felon
-Misdemeanor Possess Drug Paraphernalia

Gray was also served with the outstanding warrants for the following offenses.
-Two felony counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felony
-One Felony Second Degree Kidnapping
-Felony Assault With a Deadly Weapon Intent To Kill
-Felony Flee/ Elude Arrest with Motor Vehicle
-Misdemeanor Going Armed to Terror Of People
-Two misdemeanor counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun
-Two misdemeanor counts of Resisting Public Officer
-Two misdemeanor Counts Carrying Concealed Gun
-One misdemeanor count of Possess Drug Paraphernalia and numerous traffic offenses
Gray was confined in Beaufort County Detention Center on a $521,000 secured bond.
