Jimmy Roger Hodges, age 84, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Sunday, January 26, 2025 at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Thursday January 30, 2025 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Smith.

Mr. Hodges was born in Pitt County on August 26, 1940, to the late Noman M. Hodges and Mamie Paramore Hodges. On July 23, 1965, he married Faye Woolard. He was a member of 15^th Street Church of God but attended Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Hodges enjoyed word puzzles, fishing, playing solitaire on his computer, writing poems, working outside and planting plants and trees.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Woolard Hodges of the home, two daughters, Rhonda Hodges Ellis (Steve) of Greenville, Kim Hodges Rowe (David) of Selma, five grandchildren, Elissa Ellis, Mallory Norris, Justin Cox, Matt Ellis, Stephanie Ellis and one great grandchild, Claire Norris.

He is preceded in death by 13 siblings.
