CHOCOWINITY, N.C. — Just like in the previous matchup at Northside earlier in the season, the Panthers were able to go to Southside and pick up a sweep last Friday.

Northside’s boys pulled away for a 70-57 Coastal Plains Conference victory. The game was tied at 47-47 after three quarters before the Panthers pulled away. Max Vansant had 21 points to lead Northside while Malachi Moore added 17 and Chase Hewitt had 12.

Josh Armstrong led Southside with 18 points while Jeremiah Satchell added 16 and Zymere Wiggins had 11.

Northside’s girls stayed perfect in the CPC with a 56-44 victory. Northside hosted Pamlico County on Monday with first place in the conference at stake.

Northside’s junior varsity boys won 42-35.
