The comic “Shoe” in the Sunday comic section is inappropriate. Let’s get rid of it and replace it with one that is really funny and good for the whole family.

I read an article with interest last week about the hiring of a new president for Beaufort County Community College. Both board members mentioned “he” in the article. Sounds to me as though the good-old-boy network is not considering a female for president.

I would like to thank Nancy Hill for her wonderful letter to the editor concerning the trophies at Northside High School.

I think we have a wonderful sheriff’s office.

Ya’ll put everyone’s picture in the paper who has been arrested for committing a crime. Why don’t you put the court news in anymore?
