Mrs. Eliza Annie Vick Silverthorne, age 89, of 1660 W. 5th St., Lot 14, Washington, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her home.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be officiated by Captain Kenny Griffin.
Mrs. Silverthorne was born in Pitt Co. on October 2, 1918 to the late Jim and Sudie Campbell Vick. She married Dave A. Silverthorne who preceded her in death on August 7, 1975. She was employed by Hamilton Beach, Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church and a member of the Home League of the Salvation Army where she received a membership pin for 35 years of service.
Survivors include 1 son: David Silverthorne and his wife Polly of Chocowinity, 2 daughters: Faye Bryant and husband Andrew of Greenville, Sudie Cox and husband Roland of Washington, 1 brother: Norris Vick of Elgin, SC, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Ida Pearl Beacham and 4 brothers.
The family received friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home, 1660 W. 5th St., Lot 14, Washington.
