BLOUNTS CREEK, N.C. — Wilbur “PaPa Bud” Hinson, Jr., 69, of Blounts Creek (formerly of the Hugo area) passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008. Mr. Hinson was born in Lenoir County on September 1, 1938 to the late Wilbur Hinson, Sr. and Nannie Mae Grant Hinson. He was a member of the Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church and a retired welder and pipe-fitter.
Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife Irene Jackson Hinson of the home; step-daughters, Cindy Hamilton and husband Walt of Blounts Creek and Donna Pike and husband Jerry Robert of Kinston; step-grandchildren, Erin Pike, Sarah Pike and Jessie Pike, all of Kinston; sisters, Frances Whitfield and husband Clarence of Kinston and Ann Dail and husband Ray of Snow Hill; brothers, William Hinson and wife Peggy of Chesapeake, VA and Grover Hinson and wife Carolyn of Rocky Mount; and his beloved family pets.
