Curtis Hall Elks

Mr. Curtis H. Elks, age 43, a resident of Market Street Extension, Washington, N.C., passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at Old Ford Church of Christ today, Aug. 16, 2011, at 6 p.m. officiated by pastor Eddie Bowen. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
Mr. Elks was born on Jan. 9, 1968, in Beaufort County, son of the late Wilber Allen Elks and Carole Hall Elks. He was a graduate of Washington High School. Curtis was an electrician for Ball Electrical Installation and Service in Washington. He was an active member of AA, loved woodworking, enjoyed working as a TV technician for the family business, Elk’s TV and Appliance, and loved watching the History Channel. Curtis attended Old Ford Church of Christ.
Survivors include his fiancée, Frances Thompson and her son, Christopher Eisenzimmer of the home; two brothers, Christopher Wade Elks of Washington and Wilber Allen Elks Jr. of Kinston; and five uncles, Bob Elks of Nebraska, Tommy Elks of Grimesland, Danny Elks of Grimesland, Michael Hall of Washington, N.C., and Edwin Starky “Ted” Hall III of Greenville.
