Mrs. Doris Cox Walker of Newport News, Va., and a former resident of Washington, died Friday, May 9, 2008.
A private graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at The Pines Cemetery of Washington with Dr. Greg Barmer officiating.
Mrs. Walker was born in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Miles Otis Cox and the late Katherine Florence Cox.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Michelle Cook; two brothers, Wesley Edmond Cox and Phillip Lawrence Cox and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by a sister, Theola Cox Lankford.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Peninsula Funeral Home of Newport News.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
