Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.
Why are people calling in complaining about those who receive DSS checks and the drug tests? The articles in the paper were talking about people who wanted to work and find a job, not those who sit home and do nothing.
I think the people who are so concerned with the rules and regulations in the historic district are people who live down there and don’t have any concern with how the merchants do. All they care about is how things look. They are incredibly selfish. It blows my mind.
I see in this morning’s paper that Hood Richardson didn’t have anything to say right now until the hospital deal papers were signed and then he would have plenty to say. I hope they sign the papers and get up and walk out and leave him sitting there.
How are people appointed to boards in this city? Are there not any rules and regulations regarding conflicts of interest?
