Mrs. Bernice Brown Barrow, 88, of Golden Living Center, Greenville, and formerly of 818 Swamp Road, Pantego, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Golden Living Center.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Temple Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. Matthew Ward, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Broad Creek Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Barrow was born March 18, 1920, in Beaufort County. Her parents were the late Lena H. and Haywood Brown Sr. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. Mrs. Barrow was a member of Zion Temple Free Will Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board and several other auxiliaries. She was married to Andrew Barrow, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Prentis Barrow of Pantego and Lyn Barrow of Ohio, and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home.
