Mr. Ellis Xyvon Ross III, “Skeeter,” age 54, a resident of 939 Latham St., Belhaven, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Pungo District Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. David Pierce.
Mr. Ross was born in Beaufort County on June 25, 1954, to Ellis Xyvon Ross Jr., who survives, and Jane Kugler Ross, who preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School and was owner and operator of Ross Vending. On June 25, 1983, he married Cynthia Lynn Davis, who survives. He was a member and faithful in his service to Belhaven Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Ross, of the home; one son, Ellis Kain Ross and wife, Laura Beth, of Washington; two daughters, Elise Ross of Greenville, Selby Ross of the home; his father, Ellis Xyvon Ross Jr. of Belhaven; one grandson, Luke Robert Ross; three sisters, Jan Cordon and husband, Tracy, of Bath, Fran Crutchfield of Nags Head and Betsy Buchanan and husband, Howard, of Kill Devil Hills. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Ellis Kain Ross II.
The family will receive friends at the home, 939 Latham St., Belhaven, NC 27810.
