Mrs. Carolyn Ann Barefoot Tetterton, 69, of 313 Ash Lawn Drive, Norfolk, Va., died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Chesapeake General Hospital.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, with the Rev. Ken Cash officiating.
Mrs. Tetterton was born in Hallsboro on Sept. 17, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Walter Asheford Barefoot and Clyde Bonham Barefoot. On Feb. 8, 1972, she married William Thadius Tetterton III, who preceded her in death April 23, 1990. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, James Columbia and Michael Tetterton, both of Norfolk, Va., Melvin Wallace Columbia of Boston, Mass., and Jeff Barefoot of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Lisa Gobble of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Charles Barefoot of Winston-Salem; one sister, Pauline Barefoot of Shallotte and seven grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
