Burvell Kemp Jones, 78, a resident of 3664 South Gum Neck Road, the Gum Neck community, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at his home. A funeral wil be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Gum Neck Free Will Baptist Church with pastor Gerald Perry and Joshua Rose officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
