Will Beaufort County provide its residents living on private roads hurricane debris pickup as is being doing done in other counties? This is being done in Pamlico County. Please let the commissioners take care of their residents.
Why didn’t the school board seek the waiver for the five days of missed school because of Hurricane Irene? Beaufort County was declared a federal disaster area. It was told the five-day waiver would be granted if requested.
For the person who complained about the paper carrier not putting papers in the box: I am a paper carrier, and I try to put all papers in boxes, but some customers leave trash containers in front of or too close to the boxes. For those customers, I double-bag and throw the papers in the driveway. By double-bagging the paper, it should prevent the paper from getting wet.
