Mrs. Edith Predmore Johnson, 67, of Bennett Road, Oak City, and formerly of Asheboro, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at the home of her son.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Truckston, N.Y., on June 30, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Johnson Predmore. She was married to Darrel Johnson, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and nurses aide. She was a member of the Senior Center and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie Bulkley of Addison, N.Y.; two sons, Mark Bevis of Oak City and John J. Johnson of Frostproof, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by two sons and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Mark Bevis, 2247 Bennett Road, Oak City.
