Of course, our teachers are going to be professional toward their duties and students, but it is still unfair to saddle them with such a burden as to teach more students with less support and materials. Our education system is going to suffer, and our standing in the world is going to suffer. We need to tax the rich and rehire the teachers and other professionals.
A law was recently passed that TVs, DVDs, computers and the like have to be recycled. Where in Beaufort County can we take these items since the local collection agencies are rejecting them and there is nowhere to take them?
It appears the Economic Development Commission is overpaying for land and development, and there is no oversight. I suggest an unbiased Realtor be contacted and a comparative market analysis be made available to the public. We cannot afford to waste even grant money on overpriced land.
Everyone can relax now: Smallwood is almost completely cleared of its debris. So, the city will probably take care of the rest of the neighborhoods.
