WIMCO Corp. announces the promotion of Darlene T. Moore to executive vice president of the corporation.

The appointment was made at WIMCO’s Board of Directors meeting held Aug. 23. Moore has been with WIMCO for more than 34 years. Her first position was in accounts payable. She held many other positions and offices prior to her new appointment.

She led WIMCO’s partnering with Computer Guidance Corporation (headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz.) for its software needs. She accepted the ConstrucTech magazine’s 2008 Gold Vision Award for WIMCO in Chicago. The award was for exemplary use of construction software.

Moore has been a presenter at Computer Guidance’s annual customer-focus conferences since 2003. She was invited to speak at the Association of General Contractors’ luncheons held in Atlanta in 2010.  She received another invitation to speak at the AGC luncheon to be held in St. Louis later this month.

Moore lives in Washington. She attended Pitt Community College and East Carolina University.  She is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Beaufort County Committee of 100.
