Mrs. Agnes “Aggie” Channel Moore, 84, of 107 A Somerset Drive, Plymouth died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia AME Zion Church with minister Starline Batts officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore family cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born in Washington County on Jan. 9, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah Davenport Channel. She was married to William T. Moore, who preceded her in death. She was a member of DAV Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of Macedonia AME Zion Church, where she served on the usher board.
Survivors include two sons, Horace Channel of Newport News, Va., and William C. Moore of Fayetteville; three daughters, Starline Batts of Rocky Mount and Loretta Watson and Denise Moore, both of Plymouth; three sisters, Permilla Norman of Plymouth and Mereline Moses and Sarah Rozier, both of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Macedonia AME Zion Church and other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
